TAKE A DEEP BREATH

Oslo Central Station 2008

With the theme of environment, responsibility, and awareness, I was invited to design a temporary art project for Oslo Central Station. I based the project on the expression “Take a deep breath”; the immediate action of breathing and how we can feel the air pollution on our bodies. The work consisted of several elements: Large-scale paintings showcasing Norwegians’ self-image related to clean air and healthy ideals. A seating installation made of vegetation mats, designed as a recycling symbol, and a video piece that continuously showed children holding their breath. sten.
