Collaboration with Vigdis Fjellheim

The given conditions for the project were that we took daily photos on corresponding dates, but on different continents, during our travels over the New Year’s period 2010/2011. The destinations were Australia/Thailand and South Africa. We then each consistently selected one photo per day for the project. It is in the juxtaposition of the two images that belong to the same day that the collaborative process begins. Searching for similarities, common features, different readings of the images, what we choose to focus on, and the connections we insist on for the lotto to come together, are important conditions for the ongoing work.
The physical work consists of photography, MDF shapes, wall and floor paintings, as well as picture booklets to supplement the reading of the work
