During a fellowship in Eidfjord, I visited eight families in Eidfjord who allowed me access to their private family photographs. This resulted in an exhibition with paintings transferred from photographs and a neon sign. What all the selected motifs have in common is that they describe the collective traits and the ritualistic nature of the photography situation. By asking the rightful owners of the photographs to title the finished paintings, each motif still received a clear personal connection
