The Flood

In the exhibition The Flood, I presented a brand-new series of paintings and a sculpture.
This exhibition contrasted with several of my previous projects, which had taken a romanticized and nostalgic view of the past. In The Flood, I moved in a darker direction, exploring a dystopian worldview and a collective darkness through painting. Flood, abundance, biblical deluge. My inspiration came from literature, film, and general news imagery. The titles of the works were inspired by Margaret Atwood’s The Year of the Flood and the dystopian film The Road.
